Year 2 visited Scotswood Nature Park to learn about different trees and habitats.
The children looked around the park and identified different types of trees. They also learned whether they were evergreens or deciduous.
Different types of animals and their habitats were then looked at. In groups, children made their own habitats for their chosen animal.
The children ended their visit by making a clay animal using natural materials they found around the forest.
