This week in Nursery, our learning was out of this world as we explored Fireworks and SpaceĀ through our focus story, Whatever Next!Ā šŸŒ™ā

The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story and joining Baby Bear on his exciting journey to the moon. Inspired by the story, we took part in lots of creative and hands-on activities throughout the week.

šŸŽØ We created some fantastic firework artwork, experimenting with bright colours and different painting techniques to capture the excitement of Bonfire Night.

šŸš€ The children designed and built rocket modelsĀ and used 2D shapesĀ to create their own rockets, developing their shape recognition skills while exploring space-themed learning.

✨ At our playdough table, we made colourful playdough fireworks, and we strengthened our fine motor skills by creating exciting firework patterns using a range of tools and materials.

šŸŽ‡ We also watched videos of fireworks and talked about the different colours, sounds and noises they make. The children used wonderful descriptive language to explain what they could see and hear!

šŸ”„ As Bonfire Night approaches, we discussed the importance of bonfire and firework safety, talking about ways to stay safe and the importance of always being with a trusted adult.

It has been a wonderful week full of creativity, discussion, imagination and learning. Well done, Nursery! 🌟😊
