Autumn Pumpkins in Reception

This week, Reception have been exploring the wonders of Autumn through the story Pumpkin Soup. The children were captivated by the tale and inspired to dive deeper into all things pumpkin!
We’ve had a fantastic time:
Weighing pumpkins and comparing their sizes.
Scooping out seeds to discover what’s inside.
Using our senses to explore the textures and smells.
Our creativity was sparked by the work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Inspired by her iconic dot patterns, the children decorated their own pumpkins with spots and dots, creating vibrant, eye-catching designs.
